In 2013 I took a group of students to MODA, Museum of Design Atlanta, to view an exhibition of various posters from the 20th century. They included constructivism, dada, art nouveau, and a collection of posters from around the globe. During our tour I talked extensively with one of the museum curators, Emily Grafton. Ms. Grafton was impressed with my knowledge of the various art movements that the collection of posters originated from. She asked me for my card and later contacted me to ask if I would be interested in designing a poster for some upcoming events. I gladly excepted and further discussed the project with another gentleman at the museum, Robert Cheney. Mr. Cheney was the art director who had overseen the design projects created for the museum for a number of years.  His one senior designer that he counted on for designing their artwork had recently retired. I considered the offer a great opportunity. The artwork had to be non-objective as it was advertising six very different exhibitions. I sketched up various concepts and discussed them with Mr. Cheney. He really liked the concept of this poster. My design was very well excepted by MODA and makes a nice addition to my portfolio.
