The Secureline Software brand is an academic project that I did for my students in the Corporate Branding & Identity class at Bauder College in Atlanta, GA. I began this project by brainstorming with the class on names for a software developer. We eventually landed on securline software, which was to be spelled out in lowercase letters to give it a friendly, approachable appeal. I asked students to develop a logo mark and to experiment with as many type faces as possible until they came up with an effective brand for the software company. This logo mark and identity is my solution for the project. I typically complete the design projects that I give to students to show as an example and so that I can discuss my creative process. This really assists students with supporting their design concepts and enables them to discuss their design decisions in a formal critique. I always enjoy the creative process as well as the class discussions that surround my work as well as the student’s work.
