I was asked to design an info-graphic for online learning for Career Education Corporation during my time as the Design Department Chair at Sanford Brown College. The poster illustrates the pros and cons of taking college level courses online. While there are many successes in online learning, there are also some disadvantages for specific students. This info-graphic is in regards to the design programs and although online learning is very effective for some college programs, design students often times suffer. This poster conveys the pros and cons to taking design courses online. I always encourage students to take on ground campus courses whenever possible as they are typically more effective and better prepare students for careers. However, many online courses produce successful results depending on the course, the student, and the student’s ability to work outside the classroom.
