This book cover is an academic project that I designed as an example for my students at Bauder College in Atlanta, Ga. The student assignment was to design a Color Theory text book including the front and back cover. I used this book cover design as an example because I want students to be able to create a realistic book cover that appears to be 3D for their portfolio. For this example and the previous example, I created the type face for the book cover design. I did this using the Shape Builder Tool and Compound Paths to create the font. Creating type faces using this method is also a project that I have assigned students in Advanced Digital Imaging courses. It is an enjoyable project and the results are amazing. I explained this technique to my students when I prepared these book cover designs for my students.
