This project was designed as an example for my students at the International Academy of Design and Technology where I taught design courses and chaired the graphic and web design programs. I would develop concepts and design mock projects for students as examples for them to go by when designing their portfolio projects. This particular campaign is effective and sends a message to the viewer that evokes emotion while addressing a very disturbing yet real issue that families deal with. I chose this topic because I lost my own mother to dementia. We knew very little about it before we realized that she was suffering. It became very devastating for her and our family. This project helps to explain the seriousness of dementia through images that reflect the mental issues that dementia causes.
